Pricing:

Overnight boarding: $37/night

Additional dog (same household): $22/night

Because we are also behavioral trainers, we are able to accept dogs that have anxiety and other issues that other boarding facilities may not be equipped to handle.

If your dog is unsafe for our staff to handle (severe aggression toward humans, requiring more than one person to manage their care for safety reasons) and is not in our boot camp program, we do charge a $20/night safety fee.

Gizmo

Colonial Canine welcomes dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments.

We do not require a temperament test prior to boarding.

We will NOT house 2 un-fixed dogs in the same kennel.

We do require all dogs boarding with us to be current on Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper (DAPP or DHPP)

Canine Influenza is not required but highly recommended, especially for older dogs.

We are also experienced in handling dogs with disabilities and do not charge an extra fee for any special needs. We just ask that we receive instructions for care prior to your arrival so we can be prepared to give your dog the best care possible.

Boarding Pick up and Drop off Monday - Friday:

7:30am - 10:30am and 1:00pm - 5:30pm

Boarding Pickup and Drop off Saturday/Sunday: By Appointment Only during our appointment windows of 8am - 10am or 3pm - 5:30pm. Our weekend windows help keep the weekends more calm and quiet for our boarding guests since the week days are so hectic with daycare and dropoff/pickups. Thank you for understanding.

Please schedule weekend appointments at least the day before your scheduled arrival date. Any changes to appointment times should be requested with as much notice as possible.

There is a fee for any pick-up/drop-off that is more than 30 minutes outside of the appointment time.

Grooming

We do not offer in-house grooming.

We do offer grooming options for longer boarding stays, depending on availability. We can make your dog an appointment for a professional bath or groom with Twisted Tails or K9 Klipz in Elizabeth City. All costs for grooming appointments are set by the groomer. Colonial Canine does not charge a fee to transport to and from these appointments.

Grooming appointment requests must be made at the time of drop off or before boarding and can only be guaranteed for stays longer than 3 nights. We cannot guarantee grooming close to holidays unless scheduled far enough in advance.
