We cover most of Northeastern North Carolina and Southeastern Virginia. We are located in Elizabeth City, N.C.

Travel fees are as follows:

30 minutes or less from our facility (one way) - Free

31-50 minutes - $20 Travel Fee

50+ minutes - Must be discussed with trainer ahead of time

Colonial Canine Commando’s: Tail Waggin’ Training Camp

Board & Train — $105/Day
28-Day Minimum

Sometimes pups need more than a basic tune-up, and that’s where our Canine Commando’s Training Camp comes in. This intensive board & train program is designed for dogs who need extra support, structure, and behavior guidance beyond the basics.

While this program is most commonly recommended for dogs struggling with:
✅ Fearful behaviors
✅ Reactivity
✅ Aggression toward people or other dogs
✅ Resource guarding or boundary issues
✅ Trouble focusing or settling
✅ Confidence or environmental challenges

…it can also benefit dogs with other behavioral concerns that require more time and consistency than a standard training program allows.

During their stay, dogs receive individualized training, controlled social exposure, enrichment, structure, and behavior shaping tailored to their specific needs. Because behavior change takes patience and repetition, Canine Commando’s is a minimum of 28 days.

To help ensure success continues at home, the program includes four in-home follow-up sessions to support the transition, coach the family, and reinforce everything learned during camp.

Bark to Basics Training Camp

Board & Train — $80/Day
2-Week Minimum

Bark to Basics is designed for pups who just need a little boost in their manners and everyday skills. This is a foundational board & train program — perfect for leash work, confidence building, environmental exposure, and standard obedience such as sit, stay, place, and polite greetings. This is a basics-only program and is not intended for intensive behavioral modification or advanced training goals.

Dogs enrolled in Bark to Basics stay with us, learn daily, and receive plenty of structured enrichment to help build good habits and confidence. Since every dog learns at a different pace, the program is customizable in length, starting at a 2-week minimum.

To ensure success continues at home, the program also includes two post-boarding training sessions with mom or dad so you feel confident carrying on the training and reinforcing good behaviors in the real world.

This camp is a great choice for puppies, adolescent dogs, or friendly adults who simply need a refresher on manners and leash skills without the intensity of a higher-level program.

Train & Play – Daycare Add-On

$25/Day (in addition to daycare cost)

Train & Play is a brand-new upgrade for daycare pups who could use a little extra structure, confidence, and real-world practice. During their day with us, your dog will receive a dedicated one-hour “field trip” session with our trainer, focusing on practical manners outside the facility.

This is a great option for dogs who need help with:
✅ Leash walking and polite manners in public
✅ Meeting new people calmly and confidently
✅ Navigating busy, distracting environments
✅ Reinforcing basic obedience in real-world settings

Your dog will still get all the fun and socialization of daycare—with the added benefit of guided learning.

Please Note:
Train & Play is not available for dogs displaying aggression, severe anxiety, or needing intensive behavior modification. If you're unsure whether your dog is a good fit, we're happy to help evaluate and recommend the best training track.

All training requires a free consultation prior to beginning the training process. All board & trains require a consultation, plan of action and training agreement signed prior to beginning training. Price may increase for severe aggression or dogs over 100lbs.
